Be told off (Ambiguous #20)

Tink. Tink. Tink.
Rimlug looked down.
“Excuse me sir,” said a floating ball of shrapnel. “The king is the only one allowed to ask questions. The king told everyone that thirty one and six days ago.”
He meant thirty seven days ago, but the king of Greasegas banned the use of all numbers past thirty one…

Rimlug was so surprised to see a floating ball of shrapnel that he accidentally switched off his hearing device, gasped, and then asked why there was a floating ball of shrapnel next to him. Tink. Tink. Tink. [Note: this noise is made from the floating ball of shrapnel tapping on Rimlug’s leg. These creatures are so small that they tap on others before speaking in order to let everyone know they are there.]
“And after you were just told not to too.” said a second floating ball of shrapnel.
Tink. Tink. Tink.
“Indeed.” said a third floating ball of shrapnel.
Tink. Tink. Tink.
“I concur.” said a fou-
I think you can see where this is going. There was a lot of agreeing and tink-ing.
